What is the GLACIER retreat?
Each year, GLACIER welcomes a group of about 50 participants to the Christine Center. We sink into the joy of dancing together with other members of our far-flung contact improvisation community. It is a time to rejuvenate our creative spirits and relax into our bodies. While dancers of all levels are welcome to attend the event, participants should have a basic CI skill set. Our time together encourages connections and re-connections.
What to Expect?
You are invited to relax and reconnect with your body in a supportive and loving space! The retreat includes sessions with our amazing teaching team. Sessions harness and ignite our collective energy through open, sustained scores and time for dancing throughout our day. Activities provide options for deepening study, refining skills, and experiencing a deeper self.
Free time is an important aspect of our GLACIER experience. Walk in the beautiful woods, experience the relaxing and soothing sauna, meditate in beautiful spaces, enjoy nightly campfires, experience music, and find opportunities to grow and learn.
GLACIER is held yearly at the Christine Center, a tranquil, spiritual retreat center on 120 acres of wooded land located near Willard, Wisconsin. The accommodations include guest house rooms, woodland cabins, and camping accompanied by wholesome vegetarian meals served in a central dining room. Other amenities include: sauna, hiking trails, meditation room, and a beautiful dance space.
